At noVadiet, we’ve taken another step in our commitment to caring for our planet and improving our environmental impact with the installation of solar panels for self-consumption.
The goal is to generate clean, renewable electricity efficiently, which is key to a greener and more sustainable economy.
Solar energy is a renewable energy source that does not produce greenhouse gas emissions, reducing the carbon footprint and making it a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option that supports the energy transition.
The project, which began in September 2022 with the installation of 75 monocrystalline photovoltaic solar modules with a unit power of 450 Wp, is supported by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, within the self-consumption incentive program.
At a cost of €27,979.46, it has resulted in an estimated 35% savings in electricity consumption.
This initiative joins the other sustainable actions that we at noVadiet have developed in recent years, such as the use of cardboard from responsible sources, the use of 100% recycled paper, recycled cardboard boxes for shipping our food supplements, the renewal of our commercial fleet with hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles, and the creation of the “noVadiet forest” with the planting of 640 trees and shrubs.
