Ferments + FOS + Vitamins

Vitamins B6, B12 and folate contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

Riboflavin (vitamin B2) contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Hundreds of bacterial species coexist in the colon. This is what is known as the native flora of the colon that plays a fundamental role in health and nutrition:

  • It protects against pathogenic bacteria (forms the intestinal barrier).
  • It stimulates the development of the immune system.
Complete the digestion with a fermentation process.

Today there is often an imbalance in your colon between pathogenic and beneficial bacteria, due to various circumstances:

  • Having followed an antibiotic treatment for several days.
  •  Certain intestinal infections… that occur with gastroenteritis…
  •  Taking stimulant laxatives on a continuous basis.
  •  Having ulcerative colitis and other intestinal diseases…

Studies carried out in recent years show that live cultures are capable of regenerating colonic flora.

Species belonging to Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium confer major health benefits:

  • They act against pathogenic micro-organisms.
  • They stimulate immunity.
  • They protect against intestinal infections.
  • They modulate the digestive transit.
  • They neutralise toxic substances.
  • They enable the digestibility of food.
  • They reduce the production of intestinal gas.
FOS (Fructooligosaccharides):

Naturally present in many foods of plant origin.

  • hey increase the number of Bifidobacteria in the colon and inhibit the growth of certain pathogenic bacteria.
  • They aid the absorption of calcium, shorten the duration of gastrointestinal transit and reduce blood lipid levels.

Probiotic bacteria require group B vitamins to carry out their metabolic activity. In addition, these vitamins contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and the protection of cells against oxidative damage.

Preobik works: Dual coating system
Ferments are only effective if they are able to reach the intestine unaltered.
To achieve this, only those ferments that exceed the so-called “stress test” are selected. These are tests where bacteria face hard conditions of pressure, temperature and humidity. This way, the micro-organisms that survive will be the “strongest and best adapted to the environment”.
Subsequently, the selected ferments are subjected to a unique coating process (“Dual System”), which protects them from stomach acids and bile from the intestine, so they reach the colon unchanged, where they will perform their beneficial action.
